My BA (cheap) Meal or how to starve?

British Airways meals... certainly the worst food in the air

I have been flying BA so many times over a year and after doing a blog about their poor service I thought it was time to  talk about their meals…

First of all, during all my international flights to the US, in economy we have been offered a choice of four cheeses pasta or curry chicken every time.
In my requirements I asked Kosher meal but I have been offered only once my preferred choice. Was I surprised? Not really and that s maybe why I didn't say anything to the Stewart.

Anyway back to my story today! I am boarding my 12.30pm  flight France to UK who cost me £150 one way (economy). Well seated, after takeoff I can see the staff preparing the food, yeh! I don’t smell neither cheese or Curry! Finally a new meal is on its way!

My excitement was for a short moment only, totally forgot I was in Economy class so I was given a cheap, Tesco style, chicken roll… you know the Tesco meal deal for £3, with crisps, drink and two chicken rolls. Well with BA you just have one and no crisps FYI the expiry date was the following day.

Unfortunately I had to Refuse it. At that time I wished I was in an Easyjet flight because at least I could have bought my own meal and not starve!
This is true I wont have this classical music while boarding… damn it I am confused now.

I think we are being treated like brainless customers and being offered a 50p lunch meal, it s outrageous by a company who is spending budgets to advertise themselves as customer focused… yeh right…
I am going to ask them if I can from now on refuse to pay my meal part on every ticket I am going to purchase with them. I know it wont make a huge difference to deduct .50p but as a principal.
BA Economy consumers, speak up and don’t accept anymore to be treated like a brainless customer. BA if you want to improve your service then give choice to your customers to accept your cheap meals or to buy them.
Landing soon now, cant wait to have a real lunch in London!  Bye!
